The Crosswise Free Baby Blanket Knitting Pattern
Knitting the Crosswise Free Baby Blanket Knitting Pattern is a simple and satisfying knitting project. Beginning with 5 stitches and using one yarnover per row, the blanket grows for as long as you desire. When it’s the right length, simply begin the decreases and you will have a perfect square.
Use one color, two colors, 10 colors. It is simply your vision, and is fun to use up all those half used skeins that you cannot bear to throw out.
For this project, I used up 9 colors of skeins in my stash. I had varying amounts of each color and knit the rest of whatever I had left over from other projects.
This pattern makes a perfectly square blanket. This Crosswise Baby Blanket is 30″ x 30″.
Project shown with Hobby Lobby’s Aran Weight I Love This yarn in 9 colors for a stroller sized blanket 30 x 30, approximately 700 yards total of leftover yarn.
